Invisalign® braces are a series of custom made clear aligners that will straighten your teeth without the need for wires and brackets. Being virtually invisible, clear aligners produce gradual tooth movement in both upper and lower teeth. At Sparkle, we provide the following:

  • Invisalign® i7 – Invisalign® i7 is especially suitable for patients who have had relapse after previous orthodontic treatment. It is used to address mild overcrowding and spacing issues. You may need up to 7 aligners in completing the treatment which will take between 7-14 weeks.
  • Invisalign® Lite – Invisalign® Lite provides a fast and simple solution for minor dental problems such as slightly crooked or mildly crowded teeth. Invisalign® Lite provides 14 aligners that gradually move your front teeth into the desired position little by little.
  • Invisalign® Teen – Invisalign® Teen was created specifically for teenagers to straighten their teeth without having to wear traditional metal braces. It has blue wear indicators that fade as you wear the aligners. Invisalign® Teen are virtually invisible which can give teens that extra confidence boost whilst going through school, college or university.
  • Invisalign® Full – Invisalign®​ Full aligners are used to treat malocclusion for adults and teens who have any type of orthodontic concern. Treatment time may vary between 12-18 months.

During your first appointment, we will evaluate whether Invisalign® is suitable for you.

Using ClinCheck© advanced 3D computer imaging technology, your impressions will be transformed into a 3D animation of your teeth which will show you the series of movements that your teeth will go through during treatment from their current position to the final expected position. You can see what your teeth are expected to look like before starting treatment.

From the results of the ClinCheck©, your custom made clear aligners will be made especially for you.

During your second appointment, you will receive your first set of aligners. Each aligner should be worn for about 22 hours a day and for a period of 7-14 days before moving to the next aligner in the series, removing them only to eat, drink, brush and floss.

We will give you the next aligner in the series for you to wear at your next appointment. We will then see you regularly to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.

On average your treatment will take anywhere between 2-18 months to complete, depending on the complexity of your treatment.

In the case of Invisalign® Teen, the same technology is used as the regular Invisalign® aligners but with the added bonus of wear indicators, which turn from blue to clear telling you when the next aligner should be worn. They are especially designed to allow for growth and change of the teenage mouth and come with 6 free aligners, in case you lose some.

Once your treatment is complete, we will provide you with a retainer to ensure that your teeth stay in position so that you can enjoy your new smile for a lifetime.

Tooth movement with Invisalign® is gentle and comfortable.

When you first wear aligners however, or when you move to your next set of aligners in the series, you may experience some mild discomfort or soreness as the aligners begin to move your teeth into their new position. This is perfectly normal.

Wearing a retainer after your invisalign treatment is an important step, because it keeps your teeth stable in their new position. To help you maintain your new smile, we provide a free retainer for you at the end of your braces treatment.

Invisalign® braces are as individual as you are. That’s why the duration of treatment will differ from one person to the next. For most patients, treatment time is under one year but will depend on your particular situation. Invisalign® aligners must be worn at least 20 to 22 hours per day consistently otherwise the treatment time will increase.

Your Invisalign Provider will see you every 2-3 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
